Fong aims at advancing and maintaining the quality of the professional education of therapists practicing natural/alternative medicine by:
- Providing professional information concerning HBO(BA)-level training;
- Giving information about various parts or specialized branches of natural medicine.
- Making requirements for a minimum volume of knowledge and skills secured by the affiliated or related training-institutions.
This relevant knowledge and these skills will be tested according to quality standards.
- Comprehensiveinformation on the activities of Fong.
- A reporting- and complaint procedure concerning non-admissible behavior at training institutions affiliated with Fong.
- Publishing of a regularly appearing News Letter.
- Answering specific questions by telephone as to training programs aimed at therapists for natural healing methods. It is also possible to put questions by E-mail: info@fong.nl .
- Keeping contacts with other organizations aimed at promoting and maintaining the quality and the professional standards of alternative medicine (or healing methods).
- Publishing a list of abbreviations and useful addresses.
A number of institutions for professional training, which have joined the Federation of training schools for natural healing methods, direct themselves to one of the six large branches in the field of alternative medicine and natural healing methods.
